Advertising on Twitter, and what users think
Finally, advertising has come to Twitter so "official" as from yesterday, have begun to show in the form of sponsored ads Tweets that have been paid by companies like Virgin America. After more than three years, this site has been transformed into a platform for real-time information will begin to monetize the content.
After enjoying a site without ads for a long time, it's time to see sponsorships, but has ensured that they are as annoying as possible. After the launch of the marketing of Twitter, some regular users have begun to say in the matter.
According to data from Crimson Hexagon, interestingly 42% of users consider advertising as spam / upset and they want off-site, is a very large percentage of users who disagree, and perhaps the group of users have more activity or considered loyal users.
On the other hand 31% of the twitters regard this announcement as an interesting move, but would like to see more before accepting its operation completely. And if Twitter is able to integrate advertising without annoying users, will be a major step in the monetization of the site and to keep users happy at the same time. It is a difficult course.
Only 27% of the population believes that Twitter tweets are sponsored sensible business model, which does not greatly affect the common user activity and therefore have given their approval.
Now it remains to see if the tweets are sent via API-sponsored as well, since many people (myself included) use Twitter from third party applications (clients, either desktop or mobile platforms). While analyzing the possibilities, it is likely that third-party programs are free of advertising, at least at first.

Mirror's Edge come to the iPhone in a few weeks
Last December, we show you a video with advertising that Electronic Arts made the version of Mirror's Edge for the iPhone. The company said no more about this game, so far. The promise was to launch the game in January of this year and you will realize, this promise was not kept.
Electronic Arts does not speak of the causes of the delay, but presuming that it was because they had some technical problems in development. In the video you will realize that the graphics are totally different to the first video that was released and although it has not given an exact date for launch, now is said to be in the spring.
According to several sources, the plot of the game that was planned has not changed, ie including all the tricks that incorporates the original game and just have been the success of Mirror's Edge. This version will incorporate the feature to share your results on Facebook, in addition to that, apparently, the lighting effects were improved over previous versions.
As for the price and exact date has not been heard, but what Electronic Arts promises, it will be in our hands in a few weeks. So, if you could wait almost 4 months, a few weeks there will be great things for us is it? For now, enjoy the video.

Twitter ads will launch soon
Twitter has so far remained a completely virgin network, which has not been touched too much by advertising, unlike other sites such as Facebook. That does not mean there are no plans to do so, and indeed, could soon see ads on our timelines, this state killing Twitter neutral with respect to advertising.
The most discussed possibility is that the introduction of so-called sponsored twitts in which products are advertised and / or services. Of course these messages are written on accounts with large numbers of followers, and it would be interesting to see the performance of these campaigns, as until now there has been no way "official", although third-party tools do you incorporate this business model.
I think the extent that these messages have controlled the lives of people who use Twitter every day will not be much affected. I hope that the inconvenience of this type of activity are minimal, since if anything characterizes Twitter is the freedom it offers us all.

Video: New advertising the iPhone in Apple's web site
Apple has released 2 new TV commercials to advertise the iPhone. The first, to "prove" that the terminal is capable of doing several things at once, ie, trying to prove that the iPhone is multitasking. The problem is that iPhone owners already know that the terminal under no circumstances can be considered as multitasking. Only what is in certain respects, as evidenced by the advertising: When in a call and we can run some applications, surf the internet, or buy applications in the AppStore.
Now, what this announcement could be a hint of what lies ahead in the new generations of terminal or simply an update of the iPhone software? Probably not, but it is certainly a good attempt to convince potential customers of the iPhone's capabilities.
On Hold:
The second one, shows the iPhone's ability to send a video via MMS to their loved ones after you send it, file a tripartite conference to discuss what happened in the video. Clear that advertising shows us an aspect of terminal capabilities, but honestly, this is not anything new or some aspect that we do not know.
First Step:
These are not the only iPhone ads, there are a lot of them that can be seen from the Apple website.
Apple iPad redisplay incorporates Flash and misleading advertising
When it seemed that this issue was considered settled, Apple back at it again and again shows the iPad as if it were able to run Flash, as everyone knows, and the company has already secured several times that the device does not Flash runs.
In this case is again the New York Times iPad seen in the middle that appears in all detail, some of which are the same that triggered the ire of many users, who accused the company of misleading advertising to point that Apple had to show examples as seen in the iPad, ie no Flash elements. At this point, no one explains how Apple may re-emphasized with the same, after all the fuss that was mounted.
Knowing that the iPad is about to enter the market, it is likely that the reference site suffers from a device, so that we may be talking about a momentary lapse that is already being resolved. Anyway, remember that the New York Times is arguably one of the main partners of the iPad, and the fact that not shown in all their glory-as both the device could damage the newspaper more than a reputation, and is not like anyone.
Facebook changes its policy of advertising: it now accepts PayPal
Facebook besides being the second most visited site in the U.S., has become more than a social network, since the integrated applications, events, media and above all, a lot of content to users, now is more a social platform, robust and interesting for many people around the world. Among people who use Facebook, there are the advertisers who take advantage of the insight that has Facebook to advertise certain products and / or services.
However, one of the main problems was the method of payment, although not as complex for people living in the United States, aliens (small businesses / developers) that do not have large bank accounts were not an easy option to pay claims on their campaigns.
As a strategy to attract more advertisers, Facebook has announced it will soon add support for PayPal. Thus, any person, whether a casual user, a developer or a sales manager of a company may use this payment method known worldwide. It is certainly a breakthrough that facilitates the process of buying ads on the social platform.
This move is expected in the future, perhaps in the medium term, PayPal will be consolidated as the standard payment on Facebook. Whether to buy advertising space and buy items of applications (like games for example) and even non-virtual goods if they are offered such products. It seems a wise move that will give much to talk, especially about the prospects of integration represents.

Facebook reaches 6 years
Facebook turned 6 years, and already exceeds a staggering 400 million users around the world.
This social network was a university project of its creators with the idea of combining several schools and was launched into cyberspace on 4 February 2004.
In just two months, December 2009 and January 2010 has increased from 350 million to 400 million people registered, ie 50 million people in 60 days ... awesome, right?
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerber said last night after his congratulations to all users in a message on their social network that will work just as hard to offer better services and easier to use for everyone.
It is incredible to see how good ideas and hard work has been arranged to take a university project that would unite the Harvard students to a global social network that connects people from anywhere in the world and allows them to share experiences, concerns, photos, videos, links and who knows what else in the near future.
Now Facebook is considering various ways to expand its network services as well as being able to take advantage economically providing advertising services.
