Mirror's Edge come to the iPhone in a few weeks

mercredi 24 mars 2010

Last December, we show you a video with advertising that Electronic Arts made the version of Mirror's Edge for the iPhone. The company said no more about this game, so far. The promise was to launch the game in January of this year and you will realize, this promise was not kept.
Electronic Arts does not speak of the causes of the delay, but presuming that it was because they had some technical problems in development. In the video you will realize that the graphics are totally different to the first video that was released and although it has not given an exact date for launch, now is said to be in the spring.

According to several sources, the plot of the game that was planned has not changed, ie including all the tricks that incorporates the original game and just have been the success of Mirror's Edge. This version will incorporate the feature to share your results on Facebook, in addition to that, apparently, the lighting effects were improved over previous versions.

As for the price and exact date has not been heard, but what Electronic Arts promises, it will be in our hands in a few weeks. So, if you could wait almost 4 months, a few weeks there will be great things for us is it? For now, enjoy the video.

MySpace Bets On Gaming to Help Revitalize Site

MySpace is a social network that still has significant amounts of traffic but that does not compare at all with other networks which are now leaders such as Facebook. Every day, MySpace is more into oblivion, and but for some bands are really only a few users who use this main social networking site. In part because of the bad design and the features so limited, MySpace is a site that is doing the limbo of the network.

Trying to imitate go to other networks, MySpace is planning to include games as a vital part of the site structure, and is that games are an attractive to users, you need not go very far Facebook has millions of users playing each day, and companies like Zynga are making good money. Now, MySpace wants to take a small piece of the pie. During the conference Game Developers Conference, which takes place in San Francisco, introduced a new portal focused on users who are familiar with Facebook. Showing some games (also in English version) seeks to attract new users, especially children and teenagers who like to spend hours playing.

By now you can view titles that aim to compete directly with their counterparts from Facebook: there are indeed huge advertisements promoting FarmTown (will anyone sounds like?), Which are games whose concept has been successful. There's even an iPhone application, called MySpace Neon, which allows quick access to this website from the gadget from Apple.

Perhaps this change will bring some buzz to MySpace, but opening our eyes, we can realize that other sites (including Hi5), we are ahead in terms of incorporating games. I dare not predict the outcome of this movement, but it will certainly be something to consider, especially in the next dels months.
