TweetDeck is updated with many improvements

samedi 22 mai 2010

TweetDeck is one of the most used clients for intensive users of Twitter from your desktop, either Windows, Mac or Linux, since it is based on Adobe AIR technology. Already, a client is fairly complete, but allows convenient access to your contacts, but as has been released Version 0.34.1.

In this update, we found several integrations such as Google Buzz or foursquare, but if you do not use the latter, also allow you geolocalizarte TweetDeck as you can see in the video above showing all the new concepts.

On the other hand, have added new shorten URLs to which we already had and upload video directly from a file or live from the webcam to the server TwitVid.

Also we will have global filters in our columns to filter unwanted tweets, in addition to program messages when they want. Very useful utility to send messages at a time when we are unable to do so or simply because we do not trust our memory. Interesting for business Twitter accounts.

Finally, since we publish TweetDeck in services like Wordpress or Tumblr and other services that are compatible with the Twitter API.

ReBuzzThis - in the wake of TweetMeme

samedi 6 mars 2010

Google Buzz was born as a competitor, could say, of Twitter, but with a little more interaction with existing contacts in Gmail, which personally I did disable the option from the Google page on the second day, yes, I know, should have been the first time.

Furthermore, TweetMeme is a service where all or retweets RTs that are made appear on the homepage of the service, whether or not the green button you'll find more than one blog.

In this case, directed that button, as we said, the Google service will collect the ReBuzznos Buzz, sorry, we do ReBuzz entries most voted and will not appear on the home page.

As a new kid in the neighborhood of social networks, Google Buzz has get much attention from the community that is faithful follower of Google products. A few days after its release, Google Buzz has caused a stir by showing a great activity, suggesting that at least the idea has fallen well among many users. Because of this success have begun to create applications that integrate with Buzz, but also with other social networks and / or tools like Twitter. Tw2buzz is a bridge with which we can import all contacts from our Twitter account directly to Google Buzz. Thus we have the same community available on both networks.

2 days of Google Buzz: 9 million posts, 200 reviews per minute from mobiles and early changes

vendredi 12 février 2010

The headline is what Google says it has achieved in the first 2 days after the launch of Google Buzz. The flip side is that as use of the service grows, the company seems to be listening to users and begins to polish some things that are not enjoying it.

They are working on a new model of type menu tabs so you can fold and unfold, which in some functions only available in one direction, unable to go back, unless you refresh the entire page. Google is also working on key aspects of privacy and one can easily follow what you want from another, to call it somehow. Apparently the problem seems to be that in the line of fans that each user is very easy for new users appear unaware of where they come, something that closely resembles that of the "friend's friend's friend follows you," and which is one of the most criticized of other similar services.

Although Google Buzz is in its infancy, it seems that are going pretty much hurry to polish what lies ahead, at least something that is appreciated ... if the results are satisfactory, of course. Just as if seeking a way to stop the noise in general that forms each user page, would be a start toward rectifying ...

Google Buzz and what it really means to users

jeudi 11 février 2010

No doubt the news of the day was the launch of Google Buzz, a service closer to social networks, which aims to form bridges between consumers, content sharing and closer to people. However, from my perspective, Google Buzz goes far beyond a single competitor, in a narrow sense, other services (eg Twitter or Facebook).

As has happened now for several years, with Google there is much research and deployment fund, so that products are light are really strong, talking about everything behind the scenes and this is no exception. Think of Google Buzz as the first step towards real communication platform tinged with social media.
In principle, Google Buzz adopted standard formats for content sharing with other services, because by using Atom, Activity Streams, MediaRSS or PubSubHubbub, ensures some form of interoperability, as now, thousands of sites use these standards to communicate. Thus, what happens in Buzz will go easily to sites like Facebook, or for example, to a site (call it blog, website or other variations) in the form of commentary, annotation or even as part of the editorial content.

This means that a large bridge is emerging, so that all online activities have a concurrency point. The advantages for us, end users are many, since for example we can share content without leaving our email accounts by automated processes, thus can save time and increase productivity.

Certainly a fascinating advantage is the ability to communicate with anyone outside of Google Buzz. Unlike Twitter, or Facebook, where users can only communicate with other users of the same community, communication Buzz goes further, because by using an e-mail instead of a username ( the time to make a reply), you can communicate with any * person, although not using Google Buzz.

At first glance the possibilities of use are exciting, especially if they are supplemented by the
availability of an API, which will facilitate the creation of modules that further enrich the user experience.

While this idea is not new (in fact many people suggests that Buzz is a copy of FriendFeed and Yahoo Buzz), to his credit, Google has taken the concept to a new level, and what better platform to exploit both logistics, as users, to position this service and offer it to the masses in a heartbeat.

Although no official dates have, we know that soon it will be active in Google Buzz Gmail accounts for users. Hopefully, this timeout is short, because at least to me, the idea seems very interesting, we'll see if the illusion does not go away really use this new service which has left many opinions on the net. Opinions?

PD: When visiting the site in English Buzz an option to begin testing the service in GMail, but the option is not yet active for all users.

Google Buzz: The reason that various services start to worry

mercredi 10 février 2010

Knowing that most people sleep in a few hours if not yet done, when we wake up shortly before a giant who will be putting on foot, ready to trample on many other giants but not both.

No wonder that in a short time the news headlines of the latest invention of Google have three names of three services:
Google Buzz, Facebook and Twitter. The company has kept very much to utter the unspeakable, and more: they said that has not been set in the competition but the demands of users. The truth is that behind the presentation is a monstrous pot is about to boil, and in which most users are stuck without knowing it. In fact, years ago that some of us are stuck in this pot, and after Google Wave, it seems-and-only this time it seems Google has hit the nail, with a forcefulness thunder

No need to go far back in time to realize that so far had a pending Google: the social. Not even the buying companies or attempts to create something new have proved successful, as competition raged. Based Google could say that Buzz is the sum of the best in social networking and similar service, but united in a single package. And besides, it focuses only on expendable and interesting to the user, which decides what's next and how and when it is, either privately or in the sight of all.

The key to the whole shebang is on users. No need to create an account or profile, or configure, or download the app to change state at a distance or anything. If you have a Gmail account, you're on Google Buzz, which implies that the time of the social network, and there were millions of users around the world attached to it, without our knowing it.

Google Buzz has obstacles, although it has some of the battle. For starters, Facebook or Twitter have a great legion of fans who will not easily abandon his favorite boat, including many who read but little twitter tweets, or who have profiles on social networks decades ago that do not update, or simply do not have profiles on social networks. But most likely, most of them have Gmail account and how not to do virtually anything, just try to see what the Buzz is this ... and on the go.

Another obstacle is that users are accustomed to see on Facebook and Twitter as social tools, entertainment, friends, to meet and greet, when mail is basically dedicated to work, for serious and really important things. And mixing things can be counterproductive. While this separation of all unwritten concepts, imagine that polish time over the issue of privacy. A lack of power to roll the service for a long time because just born, I feel that this is one aspect that more tuning will suffer soon.

Ultimately Google Buzz look good but will have to see how it evolves as users use it and what improvements and features begins settling, to begin with, not a few, plus all point to 2.0 and the cloud fashion. And about Google's Wave, finally, we return to the same, perhaps forcing a user to create an account, configure and start adding friends-many of whom do not have Google-Wave is more complicated than open Gmail and oh! but if they are all already!.

Thus, based, it is a system that from the user's connection state can follow other users and their updates and share with them almost everything. As seen in the presentation may do harm to insist similar services, or social networking or microblogging services, but appears not to be posited as a substitute of similar things, but it is very focused on maintaining order and classification of what is in our interest only, when similar services each user swallow everything.
